Join us in welcoming our Guest Artists for March, 2026 and enjoy our ‘First Thursday” reception on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 5 PM-8 PM. Our guest artists John G. Olson and the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild will exhibit a variety of mediums - a feast for the eyes!

John G. Olson is a self taught artist who works with recycled materials. He uses discarded materials and transforms them into beautiful works of art. His artistic style is evolving as he works and his goal is not to reproduce art from photos but to transfer the images in his mind to something new and unique.

Members of the Southwest Florida Fine Craft Guild include fiber artists, photographers, jewelry artists, clay artists, stone artists etc. The Guild was formed in 1971 to encourage 3D artists and it works to enhance and encourage creativity and originality in local artist members. The Guild is known for it’s generosity to young artists and annually provides scholarships at Cypress Lake High School, FGCU and Cape Coral Art Center.

The Hirdie Girdie Gallery is happy to welcome guest artists Nancy Mayhew & The Woodturners of Hirdie Girdie Gallery on Sanibel is excited and happy to welcome guest artists Barbara Broderick and Rebecca Christopher for the month of February 2026. On Thursday, February 5th; 5-8 PM the Gallery will host a ‘meet and greet’ reception where you will meet the guest artists as well as many of the member artists. Join us!

Meet our guest artists:
Barbara Broderick - a Master stained glass artist who has branched out to include resin in her work. In Barbara’s work you will see a ‘bit of Florida’ in her candles and coasters and in other items. Her work radiates happiness with bright colors and are meant to reflect the Florida lifestyle. Barbara welcomes custom orders so you can get the perfect piece.

Rebecca Christopher - an acrylic painter who finds inspiration in natures' glorious beauty. Her painting style is described as impressionist and she prefers to let the colors speak to her and drive her creativity. She happily paints the scenes around her whether it be a beach dune scene, florals or sea creatures.

The Guest Artists’ work is available for viewing at Hirdie Girdie for the month of February. We hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy them.
