Hirdie Girdie welcomes guest artist Michelle Sanders for the month of May.

Michelle is a colored pencil artist and has loved drawing for as long as she can remember. Over the years, she has worked in several mediums including watercolor, oil, pen and ink, and has been working with colored pencil for the last 10 years. She is inspired by subjects that have shadows and contrast, striving for photo-realism. She has shown in galleries and taught workshops. She was named one of the best 50 artists of the year by Artist and Illustrators magazine and her piece was displayed at Mall Galleries in London. Her work has also been published in calendars and books.
